My Grandfather William (bill) Beekman was from here , he died about 7 yrs ago, He was married to my nan Olga Beekman , my nan now has dimentia, i would love to find out more about him and his family, i know or hope they are all well and living , from his funeral i can remember alot of Beekmans especially George, please if anyone has any info about my family i would love to know x x I found out today he was in the Seaforth Highlanders would love some old photos , thank you so much , i miss him so much

I have just received an email advising me that registration to the Airdrie Page has been approved. Quite surprised to receive this info out of the blue.
However, I have looked at the site and it's quite interesting. Brings back lots of memories. Although it doesn't seem to be very heavily used.

I left Airdrie in 1966 and came to the USA.Grew up in Airdrie and went to Albert Primary school and Airdrie High School.Now living in Oklahoma City.I have a brother James Ford living still in Chapelhall but not many relatives alive now.Would be great to hear from some Airdrieonians...So sorry to hear the town is falling apart.What a shame.We did get to visit several times when our children were little.I used to go dancing in Glasgow and had a friend named Morag Ferguson and Margaret Strang..

My great great great grandfather, Robert Bryce, was born at Airdrie 4th January 1810. He married Agnes Jenkins at St Ninians in 1828. I have been unable to establish Robert's parents or siblings names. Any help with my research on the family will be greatly appreciated.

Hi all. I have traced my roots back to Airdrie and am now stuck. My ancestor was George Waddell (Born 1805)who had an illegitimate son also called George, at Dalmacoulter in 1831.
