I was born in Craigneuk and went to Dunrobin School. We moved to Australia in 1963 when i was 9 years old. I still have relations living in the Airdrie area. I have found relations going back to Archibald Cowie b 1790.

I lived in Airdrie until 1957 when my family emigrated to Canada. I was six at the time. We settled in Orillia, Ontario. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers my family prior to 1957 - dad Jack Tolland; mom - May (McShane) Tolland.

Hello!
Just wondering if you know a lady called Debbie Park? She’s about 30ish and lives in the Airdrie area.
Myself and her used to be great friends so any information would be brilliant.
Thanks,
James

Hello,
I am looking for my family in Airdrie. This maybe a long shot to find any one but I am giving this a try and crossing my fingers someone recognizes the names. I don't know much except that my Great Granddad Patrick Ryce moved to Ontario, Canada sometime between the 1920's and the 1930's, with one or two of his brothers. I know some of their names Henry, James and Michael Ryce. There were five brothers including my Granddad and they had a younger sister who passed away at the age of 2 from the flu. My Granddad passed away a few years ago and my family here is unable to help. Please if anyone can lend a hand in searching for my family I would greatly appreciate it.
Take Care! Natashia

My Scottish roots are in Airdrie, which I have never visited. My great, great, great grandfather emigrated from Airdrie to Canada. His name was Thomas Johnstone. My Grandmother is Edna (Johnstone) Ayers. I understand there is a butcher shop in Airdrie that has been in operation for many generations of Johnstones. Can anybody confirm this butcher shop, the current operators, and it's address/contact information? I will be visiting Airdrie in October and would very much like to connect with this family history. Many thank!

Great news, I just found my biological family after 38 years. They all live in Airdrie Scotland, this is strange because I live in Airdrie Alberta Canada, I am coming over to meet them next month, I cant wait.
