I’m Registered – Yay!! Now what?
Thanks again for becoming a member of our community.
You may be wondering what to do next. Well, when you have received your confirmation e-mail and then login to The Airdrie Page, it will take you to the Admin Dashboard. From here you can decide to * Write a post * Update your profile or change your password. You will also notice that the Sidebar contains extra headings (eg Airdrie Categories now contains “Registered Area”), so you may want to explore these first.
The most exciting thing about being a member is that now you can contribute to the site by adding your own posts! You can also see sections of the site which are reserved for “members only”
How do I add a post?
On the Dashboard page you will see a list of options allowing you to “write post” or “change password” etc. Just click on “write post” and you will be taken to the “Write Post” page Here you can title your piece and add text and upload graphics as you wish. Once this is done, look to the right hand side you will see a “Categories” section with a list of all the categories as radio buttons underneath. Just click on the radio button for the section you wish to add the post to (note that you can post to Members Area or Registered Area) and then hit the “Publish” button under the large text box where you entered your post. That’s it!
Once you get used to the format of adding posts etc you may be eligible to become an Editor for The Airdrie Page which allows special privileges to become an integral part of the Editorial Team and input to the running of the site.
If you have any questions on what to do next then please use the Contact Form to send your enquiry to the Administrator.
Hopefully you will enjoy the site even more by being a member and I look forward to your comments.
