The Airdrie Page

My grandfather, Alexander Watterson was born in Airdrie and emigrated to Canada when he was a teenager. He passed away in 1990 at the age of 82. His father was George Watterson and his mother was Martha Lang. We know he was one of four children they had and that his father had children from a previous marriage in Ireland. My father visited Airdrie in the 1960′s and a cousin showed him around town, including pointing out the family owned pub. If anyone can help me find more information on this part of my family it would be greatly appreciated.

   My mother, Isobel Hendry from Airdrie passed away in Colombia South America when I was two years of age (1946). My aunt Sadie whom i saw last in 1974 was married to Gordon Mason who was a member of the Airdrie police. Through her I have five cousins: Ian, Betty, Morag, Linda and Helen Mason.
